We are born and then we die. In the magnificent eternity of Life which has no end and no beginning, a human existence is like a grain of sand in the vast stretches of the beach. Why are we born? Why are we born to our specific parents? Why are we born in the country that we are born in? Why do we have the roller-coaster of experiences as we journey through our specific lifetime, only to be buried under the ground or burnt on a funeral pyre; forgotten forever after a point even by those who loved us the most -- to what purpose? For all we know, we may be dead in the very next moment. Then, why spend our life huffing and puffing away to get that next success, vent out our rage on the driver or anyone else who cuts us short, walk past the housekeeping staff as if she doesn't exist, walk around feeling sad, mad, bad or glad; as if the source of that lies outside of us? And, how is all this related to leading our organisation from good to great?

Well, there is a method to this apparent randomness of the Universe.

Before we explore that, let's understand a basic principle. For that, let's put reality at the centre-point of a sphere. We can see there are literally millions of points to stand on the sphere to look at the reality placed at the centre. From every different point on the sphere, we have a completely different view. All views are valid even if they are contradictory because at 180 degrees, we will see two different views altogether. We can keep pulling each other's hair till death do us part to vehemently and righteously prove our point of view, our belief, our view of the world as RIGHT and that the other person got it completely WRONG. I am right and you are wrong. All the mess in the world, in organisations, in families is only a function of lack of Leadership Depth where people have not trained themselves to have Agility of Mind to have a 360 degree view of reality to understand — All points of view are valid, however contradictory.

If there are million views of the same reality; then which point should we stand at? The only point to stand at is that point of view which gives us access to our inner Power to Create our life in alignment with our reality-defying intentions and impossible, unimaginable, crazy-big dreams.
I explained this principle because whatever I am sharing is only a view from a point. Choose to stand where I am standing on the Ball of Perspective, only if it makes a difference to you and gives you access to your Power to Create.

Before continuing the inquiry, let's step back to define what Personal Mastery is. Personal Mastery is the first step to be the Greatest Version of our own self to

Have It All:
1. Deeply fulfilling, successful, profitable business supporting us to live our purpose of life; gifting us with positive impact, contribution and financial freedom
and
2. Loving, harmonious, positive, uplifting relationships at work, at home and in the world
and
3. Happy, healthy, responsible, confident kids with their genius joyfully expressed
and
4. Nourishing, nurturing ourselves to the highest level of health, fitness and joyous well-being — physically, energetically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually
and
5. Making a massive difference through the work we do

We all wistfully hope for Having It All. Some of us may scoff at the possibility of it, masking the cynicism and resignation lying buried deep inside. One of the reasons people don't Have It All is because people don't expect to. Therefore, they don't even play for it. In coaching, shifting this limited view of life is the toughest part of our job. Everything else is a piece of cake. You see, where is the proof we can Have It All? Who can stand tall and say, I have it all? There are just no role models. I myself am a work-in-progress. Though, by believing Have It All is possible, I have played along and created a whole new world for myself; creating fun, fulfilment and freedom in all five areas of my Wheel of Life. Indra Nooyi's video went viral in which she said women cannot have it all. My response is that men also don't have it all and equally suffer. Not Having It All is our default human condition.

The Law of Gravity existed even before someone discovered it; the Law of Relativity existed even before somebody explained it to the world. Who says the Law of Having It All doesn't exist just because all we see on media and the world around us is an absence of it? Everything in the Universe is so perfect — the human body's design, the flora and fauna and all that we see in Nature around us. Having It All is really perfect, then why would it not be available to human beings? Sure, it is very difficult to create. And, it cannot be created in our default Leadership Model, which is sourced in fear, survival and scarcity, because of which there is no belief in its possibility.

What if we could take on Having It All as a purpose of our Life, our Destiny? Isn't this Purpose worth playing for? Isn't this Purpose worth putting our heart, mind, body, energy and soul in the game to reach this destination? If yes, then read on.

We need Personal Mastery to:

1. Begin the journey to Have It All

2. Shift all our Limiting Habits in all our five bodies (Energy, Emotional, Mental, Physical and Spiritual) of our Being into Growth Habits

3. Shift into another Leadership Model which is values-sourced (Love, Gratitude, Reverence, Integrity, Mastery) rather than remain held back in the old Leadership Model of doing whatever it takes to get success and make more money

4. Recognise that it takes a combination of Leadership Depth, Craft Mastery and Business Excellence to lead our organisation from good to great

5. Live a purpose-inspired life instead of a robotic, monotonous existence being busy being busy

If Having It All is a worthy goal; then Personal Mastery is our goal; because that is the input needed to Have It All. If we take on Having It All as our Purpose and our undeniable Destiny, then Personal Mastery is our Purpose and our undeniable Destiny.

There are five stages of transformation in the New Leadership Model, based on the integration of all that I have studied and trained myself on the five bodies of our Being (Physical, Energy, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual), Business, Leadership, various transformation modalities and coaching methodologies:

1. Gear 1 — Personal Mastery

2. Gear 2 — Relationship Mastery

3. Gear 3 — Business Mastery

4. Gear 4 — Leadership Mastery

5. Gear 5 — Life Mastery

Leadership Depth is an inner journey of personal transformation by raising our consciousness from Gear 1 to Gear 5 to be our Greatest Self in the New Leadership Model. Jim Collins in his published study of Good to Great organisations based on his massive research shares that Level 5 Leaders are the foundational construct for organisations to cut over from good to great.
The problem is that the old Leadership Model (sourced in Fear) can take people from Level 1 to Level 4; but there is no pathway to go to Level 5 because it does not belong to that model.

In the new Leadership Model, Level 4 Leaders (High Performers) start at Gear 0 Consciousness (Survival / Fear / Scarcity Consciousness) and we work our way up to Gear 5 Consciousness (Thrival / Love / Abundance Consciousness), one Gear at a time through Growth Habits and Transformative Practices.

We will continue deep diving into each of the five Leadership Gears (five Stages of Transformation as above) and discuss in detail what it takes to reach there through subsequent articles.

Keep believing in your greatness. You are born to live in the expression of your undeniable greatness. Give yourself the permission to let your Light shine through and Have It All. It is not the good luck of a few but the destiny of each human being.

Gear 0 is us playing the game of life as an Over-functioning Super Hero Martyr, Helpless Victim, Stressed-out Busy-Bee High Performer or Distracted Avoider.

We begin our Good to Great journey as a Peaceful Warrior when we become aware that we are in Gear 0 playing the above 4 limiting roles at different times, in different situations, in different relationships and commit to playing the game to raise our consciousness.

Gear 1 Consciousness (I am extraordinary. I love myself) leads us to Personal Mastery.

Personal Mastery strengthens us to step-up to Gear 2 Consciousness.

Business Mastery strengthens us to step-up to Gear 4 Consciousness.

Gear 4 Consciousness (I am whole, complete and perfect as I am right now. You are whole, complete and perfect as you are right now. Life with you is whole, complete and perfect as it is right now. I am my word. I believe in myself. I believe in you.) leads to Leadership Mastery.

Leadership Mastery strengthens us to step-up to Gear 5 Consciousness.
