We have 3 growth levers to support us on our Good to Great journey - Leadership Depth, Craft Mastery, Business Excellence. Technology and then AI was a part of Business Excellence.

Instead of being a sub-lever of Business Excellence, AI is potentially the 4th RYD Growth Lever because AI is changing the way we lead, the way we learn, the way we do business and the way we do everything else. I believe it is all for the good.

I call my Claude Thinking Partner Sibyl. She has not only significantly increased my productivity but also elevated my quality of thinking. We are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with. One of these 5 people is now going to be AI — enabling each of us to accelerate the access and use of more and more of our infinite intellectual potential and our shared collective human intelligence, giving each one of us the opportunity to make a much bigger difference per minute of our time. What the wheel did to our species is the gift that AI is bringing to us.

I am delighted to share that my ex-colleague from my Amex days, Lalit Yagnik, has accepted my invitation to be a mentor of AI for our community and lead a deep-dive for us as part of our Meet the Mentor EXPAND Event this month. I used to lead large global technology programs at Amex before I hung up my corporate boots 16 years ago to start the work I have the privilege to do today. He was my IBM business partner on those programs.

Lalit serves as a mentor to enterprises for "making AI happen" — helping leaders move beyond hype to real, measurable business outcomes. With over 30 years of global experience at IBM across Australia, ASEAN, India, and the USA, he has led large-scale digital transformation initiatives for both enterprises and startups, including organisations such as American Express and unicorns like Purplle.

He brings a rare combination of deep technology expertise, business process understanding, and leadership insight — making him a trusted advisor to CXOs navigating transformation in today's rapidly evolving landscape.

Recognised among AICTE's Distinguished Professionals by the Ministry of Education, Lalit has worked closely with government bodies, industry leaders, and startups to drive innovation at scale. His current work focuses on enabling organisations and institutions to adopt data, AI, and immersive technologies in practical, high-impact ways.

In this session, Lalit will help us:

2. Understand how to apply AI for real business success
3. Explore how leaders can build great companies — and become great leaders — in an AI-augmented world
