Why Don't You Have What You Want?

When there is a gap between what one wants and what one has, what is missing is commitment. Everything else are mere excuses to not do the painful hard-work, on the inside and on the outside.

There are essentially, two ways to live life -
1. Playing the Game of Mastery
or
2. Playing the Game of Mediocrity
If the first game is not being consciously played, by default the second game gets played.

The Game of Mediocrity is played for appreciation from the outside. Winning is an opportunity to get more of the external acknowledgement, therefore it never fulfils. This path eventually leads to boredom, emptiness, purposelessness, meaninglessness. Yeah, sure, you can choose to be busy being busy and hide all of this from yourself by shoving it under the carpet.

The Game of Mastery is played for the God inside, for one's own highest self. Winning is an opportunity to go beyond one's own self, one's own barriers, limitations. This is a joyous game. This path leads to fun, fulfilment, freedom.

How do you play The Game of Mastery? The beauty is you can choose any playground to play this game - your corporate job or your business. You don't need to quit your corporate job to find happiness. Neither do you need to walk away from your business to find peace. Where ever you are, whatever that you do - it is your playground.

Wishing you courage to play your game of mastery to realize your greatest dreams in deepest communion with your highest self.

Love,
Jyoti.
